To highlight the devastating impact of armed conflict on the environment, Kuwait convened an Arria-formula meeting on the 7th of November on the “Protection of the Environment During Armed Conflict.” The meeting, co-sponsored by the German Mission to the United Nations, was timed to coincide with the UN’s annual International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict – #EnvConflictDay.
