Report analyses the impact of the conflict on the agricultural sector in northern Syria.
The Department for International Development (DFID) commissioned a research report to provide evidenced recommendations on programmes and policy that can sustain markets inside Syria, as a means to increase food-insecure communities’ resilience to the conflict. This report documents the findings of an in-depth assessment of the olive/olive oil and spice/herb market systems in northeastern and northwestern Syria. This specific assessment helps illustrate market and trade patterns and dynamics that are relevant to other food commodities systems in the country.
