Imagery from @Planet of the #Lysychansk Oil Refinery in #Ukraine on 29/06 show a marked intensification of the fires that have affected the site, with oil storage tanks ablaze and a plume at least 40km long.

Voices like @JohnAkec are opposed, as is #SouthSudan's environment ministry. The project would devastate #biodiversity and livelihoods, have a regional impact on climate and rainfall, and generate huge GHG emissions as the Sudd peatland dries out. #COP27
